Glass Bridge for The Champalimaud Foundation

Construction of a glass bridge for the biomedical and diagnostic research centre, “The Champalimaud Center for the Unknown” . It was built for the Champalimaud Foundation in Lisbon (Portugal). The glass bridge connects the two buildings. The bridge consists of a steel structure of a single section with a length of 22 metres with posttensioning of cables along the bridge in addition to a total of 12 vertical rings every 2 metres which are braced with  compression components. The bridge has a walkway and a glass railing and it is covered with curved glass, following the shape of the bridge.
